Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

not hating, but it's kinda funny that with the most recent replacement guitarist, they do a bunch of Grateful Dead and Floyd covers. anyone got anything to say? (I know that sounds like a challenge; I'm really just asking if the show was decent)
kidadam 2007-12-16 17:24:50
These guys have been getting lamer and lamer in my opinion. No wonder members keep leaving.
raoulduke 2007-12-16 18:54:55
thanks for the recording matt. i appreciate you taking the time to buy a rig, learn how to run it correctly, buy tickets to this gig, travel to the venue early to set up your gear, record, break down your gear, transfer, edit, track, flac and upload your recording here at etree.

it never ceases to amaze me when the opening comments on torrents are people bitching.

i don't even listen to this band so i don't have an opinion one way or another on the musicianship contained within this recording, but at least someone took the time out of their busy lives to capture it AND circulate it. all you ass hats have the gumption to do is sit on your asses and whine.

if you don't dig the band, stay the f*ck out of the comments section because no one cares how much you think the band sucks or not.
petemargowskins 2007-12-16 21:51:48
it's funny you should say that, raoulduke, because while i agree that gratitude is lacking in the world, i am interested in reading those comments (i don't find anything at all offensive or whiny about dandanman's, for that matter); i recently saw particle and they sucked, and the only reason i clicked on this page was to see what anybody else might have to say about a recent gig. the fact is, there's really no policing these comments (nice try, though), and anyone has just as much right as anybody else to say whatever they want in favor of or against any band. obviously it was enough to produce a hell of a response from you, which is sometimes a great motivator for people to spew negativity. however, some people DO care how much people think a band sucks or not, maybe even more than they care how much you disapprove of critical comments. so, hats off to all the tapers! we love you! i really mean that. and i'm happy for everybody who still enjoys particle, but from what i've seen, i have to agree with kidadam.
cacti 2007-12-16 22:59:03
Ha, i too came just to look at the comments lol.
raoulduke 2007-12-16 23:06:28
it's not that i'm against negative comments in torrents, just the one's from people that say "this band sucks" don't help anyone. if a poster is going to take the time to let us all know think a band sucks, take another 30 seconds and let us at least know why. it leads me to believe that some of the fans here have no basis for their opinions.
valcom2 2007-12-17 06:31:18
I also stopped also to see feedback on the new lineup and how it might sound. So how does it sound?

Oh, many thanks to the taper.
PapaBear13 2007-12-17 09:25:46
saw them in both dallas and in austin, it was a great time. sure, it might not be as intricate or sick as it is with a band that has been playing all together for 5-10 years, but for a guest guitarist, they definitely stepped it up and delivered... the tour closer in austin was off the chain.... good times. to the haters, give reasons for disliking them. to people who like it, give reasons for liking them.
Hulkamaniac 2007-12-17 18:32:01
so half this show is covers?
bbmoney 2007-12-18 10:50:50
thanks for taping the show nakguy. I was at the show and had a great time. there were quite a few covers, but I thought the band did a good job on the Pink Floyd songs (and I love Pink Floyd, so nice bonus). the opening band wasn't half bad either. did you tape/post the House of Fools set?

thanks again. rock on.
