Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

captaintenhits 2007-12-23 11:12:18
woo-hoo! thanks a lot for these.

why is this one so small - only 477mb - for 3 discs?
phaterphish 2007-12-23 11:21:59
Thanks Phil and all responsible for bringing us these amazing shows! All you wonderful people have a great Christmas!
waterman 2007-12-23 11:29:35
Actually, thats a good ? Why is this seemingly so small?
waterman 2007-12-23 11:31:32
Maybe its encoded in Mp3. HAHAHAHAHA! Im killing me! No, really, I wonder.
mpujol 2007-12-23 11:52:00
I'm guessing it was converted with a different flac compression ratio then the rest... SHNTOOL shows it to be 181 minutes long. 11/1 is only 166 minutes, but larger file sizes.

anybody know where the 9th is?

itz on Jerome's place but not here
waterman 2007-12-23 12:21:37
Hey, thanks for the research.
waterman 2007-12-23 12:25:29
Just out of curiosity, would this be a better tool for lossless compression than whats normally used? I mean for the sake of space saving and such.
bvaz 2007-12-23 12:46:19
11/9 is on the archive. I'll grab the other 6 here first and then go to the archive if it does not show up here. I prefer BT because that way I know I am giving back what I take, but is can be found here: http://www.archive.org/details/paf2007-11-09.sbd.phillesh.net.89185.flac16

deadegad 2007-12-23 15:10:28
Thank you!

Thanks for putting all these up- And of course, thanks to Mr. Lesh for this Xmas present!
mvernon 2007-12-23 23:35:33
this I believe is in MONO (confirmed by 1 track using CEPro)

that explains the approx 1/2 file size

i've made inquiries to see if we can get the stereo version

matt
SF702 2007-12-24 00:19:24
I agree...all of these shows sound like they are mono....they sound NOTHING like the ones you can buy off line...and they dont even sound like the one that have been released in the past????

Any other thoughts???
IMO
waterman 2007-12-24 06:11:13
I just listened to a sample of 11-09 and to me it doesnt even sound like a board, but an audience recording. Perhaps an archival audience recorded by the PAF organization. Hope Im wrong. And these do sound mono. Thatd be a kick in the tits, eh? Listen to a sample on LMA and tell me what you think.
woodenalligator 2007-12-24 06:45:36
Thanks Phil And Etree
