Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

we had so much fun .. thanks for seeding this !!!

NYE, Austin and New Monsoon .... we travelled from Fort Worth and had a ball!!

Dave.
gheston 2008-01-04 21:23:14
i came from VA, and had a ball as well. the matrix will be up eventually, this should work for now.
Jonesy240 2008-01-05 03:49:10
wow, great setlist, looks like New Monsoon NYE was a blast
gheston 2008-01-05 08:16:22
i left off
recorded by Stan Smith, his equipment. this was a great show.
phahoolie 2008-01-05 09:19:21
Thanks for getting this posted!!!! I've been anxious to see if this show was actually as great as I remember it being. This was probably the best Monsoon show I've seen and I've seen a bunch! The boys are really starting to hit their stride as a band.

Special thanks to Stan and all of the tapers who worked together to bring this off. They put a lot of work into capturing the sound as perfectly as possible. As was mentioned, this will be provided in matrix sound as soon as the mix-down is complete. However, in that that involves mixing down 22 channels, this will have to suffice for the near future.

If you like Monsoon, get this! If you've never heard Monsoon, get this! If you LOVE Monsoon, get this!!!!!

Pink Floyd's 'Echoes' as the final encore was a real treat!!
ccburke 2008-01-05 11:26:04
worst band ever
phahoolie 2008-01-05 13:25:27
IMPORTANT NOTE: I haven't given this a full listen yet, but I do now that Disc 3, Track 5 and Disc 3, Track 7 are switched. When I extracted this, D3T5 was "Echoes" and not "White Sky Rain".

However, this does sound EXCELLENT!!!!

ccburke... don't you have puppies or kittens to go torture? You can go now. No one cares what you think.
jimbeama 2008-01-05 18:18:10
Going out of one's way to say "worst band ever" seems strange. A joke perhaps...but there are those freaks out there that feel the need. What band is "the best band ever"? I don't care 'cause "I'm one step ahead of the blues"

-Jim "Beam" Anderson

The sound is pretty darned good. Not too much chatter. I can hear all of the instruments. There were a couple times when the vocals were low in the mix, but that was what was in the PA. Can't wait to hear the SBD and matrix versions...
