Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see

| To tell you the truth,most of my listening has been limited to before 1980,but as I roll through these newer shows I do see why people say the dead are timeless.I originally archived my shows on cd-rs,splitting them to fit as much as I could on a cdr,I am slowly goin thru them and pulling the files off and archiving them to dvd.Its a pain but I have had several cdrs that have been corrupted and wont let me get the files....its a bummer but as I do them I check etree and if they havnt been upped I have been seedin them.....Good for you guys and for me : )...sharing and seedin are always worth it even if the show aint the best...... |

| Nice!!! Another '91 I do not have. 24 more to go. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I think Summer '89 - Fall '91 was the Dead's best era. I might be biased because that's when I saw most of my shows. I suppose '72-'74 is decent too. |

Get stuff on hard drives or I've found DVDs are more reliable (so far). sOME cd-RS were MADE CHEAPLY, esp. in the early days. a lot were bogus or failed in time (who me?). Anyway, I got a little bored 88-90 or so, but I thought nearly ever show at Cal Expo from 91-94 was at least decent and I was heavy into the mix at some of those that were fantastic. |
