(Thanks for copying my tapes Jimmy.) Couldn't find enough dead air or chatter to
edit in order to make this all fit on one disc.
I had talked to Duffy and Starling between sets and told them about the Dead covering
California Earthquake the previous fall. It was fun watching them try to remember all of the words and work it up for the evening show. This was also my lone gig as stage security. This consisted of sleeping on stage at night to "guard" the sound equipment. In return me and a buddy got in free for the whole weekend. Even though it was May it still got down in the 40's at night and I would have probably frozen to death if I wouldn't have bummed the shipping blankets from the light crew that was there for the Ricky Skaggs set on Saturday night...Ahhhh fun times.
Oh, and watch out for those fighter jets in the afternoon set............

Thanks for all these Scene sources HI Barber! Lovin' it!
Any chance we'll see material from '96-2003? I saw the majority of their shows at the Birchmere and Ramshead during that period (lived in Hyattsville, MD at that point) so just curious if I should keep an eye out for any shows I was at.
BTW I can/will seed Scene 2/6/99, Owings Mills, MD at somepoint relatively soon. I have nice boards of that gig.

| Thankee to you Hawiian Barber! These Seldom Scene shows are hard to beat. I used to love seeing these guys and listening to thier records. John Duffy was transcendental at times. When I was 1st getting into these guys in the late 70's I was always impressed that the old school bluegrass guys dug 'em just as much as us young-uns. Alot of the folks who would turn thier noses up at the New Grass Revival, had no problem with the Seldom Scene. Say what you want, beleive what you want, but those guys crossed alot of boundries. |

Is there any chance someone could reseed the Birchmere 12/31/95 Past, Present and Future Seldom Scene show? It looks fantastic. It's been a dead torrent for some time. I am sure I am not the only one who would appreciate it being re-upped.
