Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| Thanks so much for this historic show. for those of you who don't know Alice Stuart, check her out! I got inoto her music last year. she plays great blues. She was one of the first women to front a band in the late 60's. She retired to raise a family and fortunately for us came back to the music scene. Check her website or you tube. Worth the investment! |

| All Blues makes this worth the download by itself. Does anyone know if Jerry played All Blues at any other point in his career? |

| There's a crappy mislabel/compilation that circulates with All Blues dated as 1/16/73, but it turns out to be this same version. |

Thanks for posting this. Kreutzmann in the summer of '74 was at the height of his powers and his performance is, for me, the highlight of this show. His take on Harder They Come is brilliant.
Now, I am a big Garcia/Saunders fan, and I love jazz, Miles especially, however shows like this always remind me that (in my humble opinion) the two things do not mix as well as one might hope. The *idea* of a Jerry All Blues is quite an exciting one - it's my favorite tune on my third or fourth favorite jazz album - but the reality, to my ears, is that not much really happens in 26 minutes. At least in those Funny Valentines he gets real weird fifteen or twenty minutes into it.
I remember hearing somewhere that it was not Kahn on bass for this run...? Certainly the bass on this is...odd...a little flat or something?
Sorry this post seems so critical. It's a good show, truly appreciated and well worth the download for the Expressway and the Harder They Come if nothing else. I just don't think the jazz stuff really works & thought I'd mention it since I always appreciate reviews that are politely critical where it's due.
