Important news from bt.etree.org!

This is the second show that Branford Marsalis played with the band. It's a noteworthy show, most of the short songs are well-played, most of the longer songs have excellent ensemble work. Very jazzy as you might imgine, folks are generally paying very close attention to one another.
I figured it was reasonable to include Branford's set in the Hornsby project, since the last song on the recording is a trio between Branford, Hornsby, and Wasserman. |

Look for a new 'non-analog' based source for this show coming very soon... (perhaps in a week or so)
And yes... this copy does do it justice, the new copy is just free of analog cooties.

shows like this are what dreams are made of, also final Bill Graham NYEve. Sure had a great last party with BOTH_Bruuuuuuuuce & Branford...can't get much better than that. Good stuff thankx for the continuation of the Hornsby project, this is a GEM, but isn't there a DSBD source? I think there is...if someone uploads it, well I'll DL it too, I already have it but not on this particular HDrive_B/C I leant 5 500GB externals to a friend to copy, gotta spread the wealth and magic =)

No, the new source I spoke of up there is not a DSBD, it is also a pre-FM source, but put onto DAT as opposed to the 1/2" reel.

Charlie Miller said he has the DSBD, but that he thought the Pre-FM reel sounded better... not sure what he thinks of my digital pre-FM. |
