Bruce missed the three shows played in Oakland in 1991 during the first Iraq war. He made the four shows that followed; heck, Landover is almost in his back yard. I wonder if he had as much fun with the police driving up I95 to the Capital Center as the rest of us did over the years.
This is another of those Bruce shows where most of the highlights for me are in the first set: the Sugaree, the first Rubin and CHerise, the well-played Let It Grow, even the accordion on Queen Jane. In the second set, Jerry's guitar breaks during Man Smart (Woman Smarter), which leads to a lot of interesting interplay between Bruce and Vince. There's a well played (if not well sung) New Speedway Boogie. Not bad at all. |

| The night in question with Maggie's Farm is the 20th. Saw three of the four nights of this run and made it to high school the next day. No better feeling in the world than sitting in last period and know in 90 minutes you'll be in a Dead parking lot. |
