Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see

| Oh my, a Sunday afternoon in 1973 at the CC in Stinson with Old & In The Way. While I wasn't at this show it reminds me of what it was like being a teenager in the Bay Area in the early 70's because shows like this were happening all the time and were almost commonplace. Rarely advertised outside the community, these shows happened as very local events and if a friend didn't call you from the little market in Stinson where someone had hung up a handmade poster then you never even heard about it. Thankfully a wise taper got the call and this show ended up being recorded. While I think this source has been in circulation for a while, it's great to see that 35 years later it still has the drawing power to make folks sit and listen to one of the sweetest periods of the Bay Area's bluegrass-stringband-jugband fascination, keeping in mind that many folks (including me) had never really listened to bluegrass before O&ITW. This is one you definitely want to hand to friends (or passing strangers) at a festival this summer. and thanks for letting me wax eloquent about the joy of being 13-year old in San Francisco in 1973. |
