Alright, so I went to a Ratdog show. I had the chance to see some folks that I do not always get a chance to see. The place had to be sold out or near capacity. I took up residence at the first rail above the 2nd landing. i usually like the top of the steps, but I was alone in a packed house and was not ready to fight for my space all night. Very comfortable spot and it sound just fine from there.
I really liked the first set, nice selections and some nice transitions. The first part of the second set was not my cup of tea. The 3 acoustic songs lost the momentum they had closing with that nice Eyes. The end of the set was, kick ass with the St. Stephen>Eleven!
It was fun hangin' with Tony, Sam, Alex, Jackie, Pat and Chris, Erin, Sarah, John from Back Forty, etc..... Met some new friends, Tim, Bob, and Lauren, who were my neighbors for the night. Good meeting the only other taper, John from Toronto!
BTW, the Ratdog site has Josephine listed where they played Fever.

| I too share your feelings about the beginning of the 2nd set. I haven't seen Bobby in almost 2 years and had a blast last night. Can't wait to hear how it translates. The Eyes, St. Stephen and especially THE ELEVEN were very well played as was pretty much the entire first set. |

This show has some sweet jams right from the get go in Sunshine. The Eleven was a big surprise, there's a great jam with a TOO tease in there somewhere. They really nailed this one. I'm really looking forward to hearing the whole show again.
The ROMT is a cool venue too with good sound, vibe, crowd and bartenders. I hope to catch another Ratdog show there in the near future. |

Nice to see him using the SG with the tone that 'cuts thru the mix like a razor'. I wonder if anyone will post that show? |

I was there and enjoyed this show immensely. Bobby and Co. really delivered, and not many of those "less desirable" tunes either. The Minglewood had a different beat, never heard it like that.
Thank you Bobby for coming to my town, too old to follow you around these days :) ROMT is a good venue.
If only Phil would visit us some day - it's been too long since he's been to the Wolverine State - we need some good vibes with all the bad stuff going on - auto industry, Granholm, Kwame, etc.
