Listener reports probably one cassette generation.
Discs 2 and 3 are seamless.

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

The bad news is, we have to skip the great 91-09-25 shows. The good news is, you can buy it in a well-mastered Dicks Picks and listen joyfully. But we're on to 09-26.
The first set of this show builds in quality throughout, as if Jerry (at least) only really "arrives" about half way through. There's a great little guitar lead in Candyman, a lot of witty fun MIDI/guitar honking in Mexicali, and then from Cumberland things really rock. The Box of Rain is quite emotional.
The second set is splendid, anyway you want to look at, as good a set as you're going to get in the 90s. The Dark Star is a kind of glorious backbone around which the rest of the set is structured. The jamming in and around it is really attentive and exploratory in too many places to name. Every other song in its place feels just perfect: well played Saint, excellent patient Eyes, really strange and weird space, a strong if short Other One, a brilliant Attics: it's just a remarkable set. Everybody seems as strong as they might be, and they're playing very well together. A fine capstone to a fine run. |

| There's never anything better than a Miller source (you're talking about 76050). This is the "fishman" source that some of the patches were taken from that were used in Charlie's source. I figured that since you had it recently you didn't need it again, so I provided this source. If you have that source, and you are a listener, then you're more than fine. |

Yes it does, it's less good. But I couldn't reseed bob's source because it was already going. I don't know how to make these calls, Charlie, when I'm trying to do a project that's about a thought in the context of these active torrents.
I wish I could bump existing torrents here, with a comment. That would make it easier.

Thanks Steve for all the excellent seeds. I am huge fan of da Hornsby era!!!
I was wondering if someone could give Bob's seed of Charlie's version some watt-age (or whatever the term is) ... I tried to download it but I guess too much time has passed.
Also, can anyone advise on what burning program (preferably free) that I can use to avoid gaps in songs. Whenever I use Windows Media Player or BurnOn, I get the one or two second gaps which are annoying for the 2nd sets that go from one tune directly into another. I tried Exact Audio Copy before and I felt like I need a masters in Comp Sci to figure it out. Thanks in advance for any input! |

I will put some bandwidth on Bob's seed of Charlie's source in the morning (6am-noon PDT), either when or before I seed the next show.

I am seeding the Miller source for 09-26 here:
http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=502858
I'll seed it until this evening at least, or longer if people need it.
Sorry I didn't say this earlier, I haven't been able to get a comment to stick on account of server load. |

Try using Roxio Easy Media Creator 10. This provides gapless/seamless transitions from track to track. I had Roxio 6 previously and I had problems getting clean transitions, but the 10 Suite works well for me. |

Mulemilk:
We may, indeed, have all had that problem at one time. You can download "RealPlayer" for free, which for me, burns excellent quality discs. There are "Edit Options" on the main burn screen which you can select to "Add 2 second gaps between songs", or "Do not add 2 second gaps between songs." It's simple and easy: drag and drop the files, hit "edit options: do not add 2 second gaps between songs" and hit burn. There are also free downloads for "Nero" and "Roxy" and others which are capable of eliminating the 2 second gaps. FYI, "Nero" has a plug-in you can download for free that allows you to burn SHN and FLAC files directly onto the disc without first having to covert them to WAV files. Personally, I just use "Traders Little Helper" a free download, also, that encodes and decodes all types of files. It is an absolute miracle of convinience. Hope this helps.
