Cass/1 > digital remastering > D8 > CDR
Seeded by Ben Mohr (bmohr@udel.edu)

---------------
Disc 1: (44:31)
---------------
1. Mike's Song (4:33)
2. Whipping Post -> (16:03)
3. Jam -> Harry Hood intro (11:11)
4. Run Like An Antelope -> (9:01)
5. Dave's Energy Guide (3:43)
This is an oldie but goodie. The sound quality is not perfect but what
can you expect from an '85. I'm assuming this is a soundboard recording
but I won't make any judgments since it wasn't in the source info given to me.
Enjoy!!!

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| I'm the original source of the Cass1; my copy was direct from the band's master. I wasn't at the show but, given their practice at the time, the low tech nature of Goddard events, and the sound of the tape, it was probably an audience recording with mics, rather than a SBD. Jeff Holdsworth or Gordon usually set up a recorder when they bothered to record, which was infrequent back then. But I'm not sure. Enjoy Mike's "epiphany" show, and check out the twisted recurrence of the Norwegian Wood motif throughout the big jam. |

October 17th was already seeded as filler on 12-1-84. http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=81448
As for May 19th, I chose not to include it in the project for a few reasons, one the db has this statement:
Consensus seems to indicate that the band on this tape is wholly or partly Lamb's Bread. Fire up the Ganja was a regular part of their repertoire. Nonetheless, this tape continues to circulate as a Phish tape. Also, according to the Phish Companion, no actual show was played on this date. What circulates is a compilation of 3-4-85 and 5-3-85, but this date will continue to be listed for reference.
and number 2, the setlist
Set I
Scarlet Begonias > Eyes of the World, Midnight Hour, Fire up the Ganja
We have alternate versions of all of these songs, since it appears to be in error I find no reason to continue to circulate it. With the 11-14-85 show, Hurricane was only played once so I felt it important to seed it even though it was only one song. I did get a comment in that thread that the song was aired on Went radio so I'll try to track it down.
For the most part I will be seeding every phish show with a db entry. Feel free to fire off any more questions.
