*The cassette generation was not included in the lineage that I received. However, there is more audible hiss than would normally be expected from one gen of reels and the only known source (comment copied below) includes the cassette gen. The sound is still very good for a 1975 recording.
Known flaws
d2t01: Starts abruptly, first few notes may be missing.
d2t05: Dropout 7:57 to 8:02
d3t02: Dropout 17:37 to 17:39

Comments: Tapes with different setlists are partial mislabeld copies of 04/12/75b re-arranged. This setlist looks very similar to the one for 07/05/75, and in fact this show could really be from that date. However, the cassette used to make the DAT was labelled 07/04/75 so that's where this date comes from.

1) At the beginning of soundboard, 10 minutes and 21.270 seconds were missing from the soundboard source and was filled in with audio from the audience source. This includes all of I'll Take A Melody.
2) Between I Feel Like Dynamite and Someday Baby, 1 minute and 03.664 seconds were missing from the audience source and was filled in with audio from the soundboard source.
3) Between Someday Baby and That's All Right, Mama, 1 minute and 42.051 seconds were missing from the audience source and was filled in with audio from the soundboard source.

nice pick for a mtx, this is a good show with a fairly clean but flat sounding board source. look forward to hearing this.
Hopefully more matrixes will be done with the onstage auds from this era, which are generally very clean with extraordinarily beautiful guitar tone but suffer from the uneven and unrealistic stereo image with limited vocals, etc. |
