|Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading.
|I doubt anyone in the Band was over 25. We were all just kids. Ricky seemed to know what was up. Vince was 17, maybe 18. I was there with the Bluegrass Alliance boys. We were all kids too. You shoulda seen the moves their new Rock n Roll bassist was doing. The guy was amazing. I do hear a pedal steel in there at times. I can't figure out who is playing it. Is it Vince?
|Awesome!!!! I love Boone Creek! Thanks very much for all the great old shows!!!!!!!!!
|Wow, what was Jerry then, 13-14? I was in the room when he was introed to Newgrass Revival, just down the road from where he grew up in OH, at Split Rail Fence Fest... he was 16 then, but I don't remember the year.
|Terrific; Just looking back in my records collection and bringing back sweet memories; by the way the 'guitar man'was Wes Golding
|ok - if you're looking at this show's details, you know about the stuff I'm putting up. as politely as I can suggest to you -
>>>> get this show <<<<
it's about 50 items down the list here on bt-etree
if you like all these all-stars, for sure - get my SBD of Lazy River w/ 15-yr-old Mark O'Connor.
what can I say? I'd compare the insanity to '73 Grateful Dead - as in the "wild years."
|Wow, yet another treasure! Thanks for sharing your recordings!
|Yes! Wow and thanks for the link to the Mark O'Connor show with Lazy River. I missed seeing that one. Grabbing it now. Please keep these great shows with Mark & Jerry coming.
|thank you Monte!
Thank you for all of your recent awesome seeds!
|there seem to be some discrepancies regarding the date in my mind. the first boone creek album was released in '78 according to amazon. all info sites say ricky didn't start boone creek til '77. and on the recording ricky says we just recorded the record three weeks ago. can anyone verify the date??? love everything you put up Monte, not trying to pick nits, just curious. aeb
|Bob, I can tell you with 100 percent certainty - This SBD is from March, 1976. I just don't know the exact date. I was there with the Bluegrass Alliance band this night. I was living at Harry Bickel's place. We can all tell you these facts. Vince Gill left Boone Creek (Lexington) shortly after this, and joined the Bluegrass Alliance, in Louisville. Vince and I were roommates at that time for several months. Late summer or fall of 1976 is when the Lazy River band formed. I was doing sound for Bluegrass Alliance and Lazy River.
|Thank you kindly!!
