| I know Charlie (me) was at this show. Great Jack Straw. It's the only show I ever saw at Nassau. I was living in Ct. at the time. I think over all it was a very good show and am anxious to replace the version I have in my "Shows I've seen" binder with this one. |

5/6, 5/8 and 5/9 were all MONSTER shows. Hopefully there are plans for a similar effort with 5/9?
I haven't found it on CD, but I used to have a gorgeous audience FOB cassette of 5/9/81. |

| Note: The "MD5" info is really st5 info - I was being TOO careful. Of course I had to error when switching to FLAC for the first time. I'll correct this in the future on new torrents/seeds. |

Barry Glassberg and i taped this show together. We got shut down by security. They tried to throw us out of the building but we escaped...Mark Seversen should have a similar sounding aud tape, as he was stealth taping from a nearby mic placement, also with Nak 700's.

"its way amazing to hear the board with the crowd reaction! What a perfect blend!"
Thanks for the review, btartus. As much as I want to increase AUD levels in matrixing, as I matrix, I intuit the phenomenal image of a total solar eclipse: the moon represents the SBD, and the AUD is the glowing corona that gives "essence" to the moon. The SBD is thus the much more present source, but the AUD makes it sparkle and opens it up to a wider space - it's like the ceiling opening up. Even when the audience is quiet, the eclipsing effect is still present, however subtle, in the sound of instruments, which is just plain great when it works well. Sometimes the matrix can become more like an annular eclipse (a solid ring around the moon with less corona haze), which I think is more apparent in an outdoor recording, where there is less spatial reverberation. I would say my Frost Matrix (being upgraded) is more like an annular eclipse matrix. An "undesirable" matrix sound would be more like a partial eclipse, when the sun and moon are out of sync, yet touching. So, the idea is to keep the moon in the center of the sun for an extended miracle. |

| This was definitely worth the wait in download time to get to listen to it. Many kuddos to all you guys that have the knowledge and equipment to do matrices. And thanks much for sharing them. |

| hm, look forward to hearing this. hunter, I finally just unpacked your 6-3-76 matrix and I have to say it's the single biggest matrix upgrade I've heard so far - many many times better than either board or aud alone - you are doing outstanding work |
