Requested by El Bastarde.
One of the greatest Halley's' right here.
Pure facial carnage.
Enjoy.

Halley's is a shreddy mcshred face melter. Just full on guitar rock blowout.
Otherwise, the rest of the show is, eh. Tried to hit the extended boogie on 1 yr to the date of the HUGE 9.18.99 Chula Vista but didn't come close. |

I can't believe no one mentioned that Trey walked off stage during this show in the middle of MCGRUPP.
Supposedly, Marley, his dog, died that day and he was really really upset, but the other band members were left jamming while Trey was walking off stage, and their looks on their faces were dumbfounded..... they seemed pissed.
but they came back for a decent encore, but still....
This is the show Trey walked off stage !!!! |

this show was sick...
thanks for the seed!
the only thing "EH" about it was the early ass curfew the venue had...the show ended way early due to the houses/apartements close to the venue. |

pfft.
Listen closely to the 1st set. Really loose, and sloppy. My friend brought his mother to this show (in her mid 50's) and we called it the "Mom set" - lots of catchy tunes, nominal risk. Perfect chance for mom to say "this isn't so bad"
My thougts of 1st set result in me not even putting it in the player anymore. The 2nd set, Boogie on is about 5 minutes too long, the McGrupp is not tight. Put this next to the creativity/risk in the 2nd set of the the night before (9/17 Merriweather) and you can see where I'm coming from.
In the context of what this band is capable of, and highlights of the fall tour 2000, you can't say this show is good/sick/the heat whatever.
Or maybe you can. To each his/her own.
Always a pleasure to see Dave's u87 rig :) Thanks Dave. |

Halley's saved this show for me,otherwise,Trey walking off stage would have been the highlight.
It was odd, almost comical, that the other 3 just tried to do some impromptu jam for a minute or 2 then walked off stage, too.

| Parts of this show are great, but anyone who thinks it is awesome top to bottom should get their hearing checked. Trey straight forgets how to play Guelah. Sick ass Halley's though. |
