One of my favorite shows of all time, and definitely of the late '80's.
I have the SBD's of these shows, though I don't know how to post them, I guse I should read teh BT FAQ.
These three shows from Alpine Valley (especially 7/19/89)would be prime candidates for MATRIX.
I recently compared this show to the Cal Expo 8-4-89 (both first sets have Mama Tried>Mexicali and Althea) just three weeks later, and it confirmed my opinion that 7/19/89 is up there as one of the best shows. Jerry is especially on fire, and he must have been in a really good space personally when they rolled into East Troy Wisconsin.
BTW it had been raining for almost 48 hours straight when this show started, so the Hell in a Bucket, Box of Rain, Looks Like Rain, Desolation Row, all seemed to be the band's way of acknowledging that we 40,000 people with the help of mother nature had turned the Alpine Valley Sound Theater into a wasted mud pit. The management had foolishly re-sodded the entire lawn right before the Dead rolled into town! Needless to say the Grateful Dead were never invited back to East Troy....
Thanks for the seed!

I second the positive thoughts about this show. disc 2 is great.

probably my favorite Desloation and late era Mexicali.
West LA Fadeaway is tight as hell,
Terrapin is gorgeous.
Morning Dew is sublime.
Anyway enough from me, download it you won't be sorry.
I am eager to hear this AUD version. Like I mentioned this show is ripe for a Matrix. I assume most have the SBD. I will look into what SBD version I have and see about learning how to post a SEED.

One of my favorite shows as well. The Foolish is one of the best played with an extended solo. The Terrapin is epic and the Dew is one of my favorite versions they ever did. Jerry was "on" this night, as was the whole band. I also consider this the best sounding show I saw. Alpine sounded so sweet, granted we were 17th row dead center. Thanks for the tape!
