| indeed. this is an excellent live recording. the segue between ghost and jim is pretty fantastic. lots of focused, group improvisation... and the YEM has a really creepy vocal jam... |

| Ghost->R Jim was quite possibly the greatest 30 minutes in my Phish life. |

| The Ghost Jam is incredible, but I've always thought this particular YEM was amazing. It warms up and burns like a hot coal, then plateaus into an intense jam that resolves into a weird, conversational vocal jam. Great, dynamic recording for sure. |

This show looks to be an absolute must have, and I'm dying to hear the Ghost>Jim as well as the shape of the room!
I'm pretty new to etree and I'm using xACT on a mac to decode to AIFF. I'm not sure if I can decode shn. I'm mostly picking up FLACS and they seem to be passing through just fine. Truth be told, I don't really know what shn is...anyone shed some light on me.
Any help would be so much appreciated. |

redwoodmystic, I have no idea of Macs, but I know that many people work with .shn's on Macs. Maybe your xACT already can handle these files. If not, I hope this link is helpful:

redwoodmystic, I've got a Mac and xACT will work just fine. If you want to go the way of Apple lossless, though, you will have to use xACT to encode from shn to flac and then MAX to encode to Apple Lossless. Let me know if you have questions.

Check out Mr. Anastasion at the 7:15 of this Ghost. You can't play the electric guitar any better than what he gives us over the next several minutes.
