I too was at this show and saw the few tapers around...hoping this one would hit here rather than the last row of sec B, tho DOC it was pretty far back. Saw the mic set up for I presume this ul. Thank you so much steve.
IMO, thought the show was good, not great..If only because of the slow start, (totally agree w/ Hell in a Bucket, never liked it, never will, well maybe way back when bobby could screech "ride, ride, ride" and gave it a woo hoo boost.)
Trying to compare Ratdog tours is always a challenge and tho I preferred the bobby-kimock show last yr. at the greek, (btw, for the poster who wondered socal?, uh that'd be southern california) I also enjoyed this show, for totally different reasons.
It didn't rock the house...The audience was either really buzzed, and the energy was low key (or both).
I was in the pit and that for this old mama is usually a pass, but given the jazzy bluesy down tempo pace of the show i ventured in, half way thru and stayed.
(note: this show was also atypical in that w/ mule and RD playing, there was no set break). Stoked to hear dark star and dew...both treats and thought bobby did justice too both.. Bertha w/ warren smoked!!
Being so close gave ample opportunity to check out the band. I sensed a tiredness and felt the crowds reaction to the energy...Even in the pit, folks were shuffling, not cutting loose, w/ the noted exceptions of half step and GDTRFB.
Finally, govt. mule was hot!! But there was alot of chattering and activity that was distracting, so I am real glad to get a copy of mule. Haynes and mule rocks. period.
The Greek is an awesome venue, worth the drive from Ventura..Must agree about insane parking. Whoever came up w/ the idea that they can charge 15.00 for stack parking is a brilliant a-hole. But, just like the way they herd you in there, I suppose I'm use to the routine. moo.

Hey Dan, I was in San Diego both nights. Don't tell me I missed you. I didn't tape, had to work and got down there just in time to see the show.
