and I 2nd Chris's question... Any source info known for this recording? If so, I can update the db entry accordingly.
Thanks for sharing! |

Don't know about the rig....you could ask the taper.
Here's his website: www.jonahschulte.com
His contact info is there. Thanks for adding this to the DB! |

| I dl'd this set from the archive and I'm not sure if it was the recording or what but compared to what I heard at Allgood this didn't really do it for me. I want to hear the AG set on disc before I make any judgements though. The vocals didn't sound as good and the music wasn't as tight as what I remember it being at AG, but we know how that goes..I want that Keller from AG, "pouring like an avalanch coming down the mountain!" |

Hey folks,
My name is Jonah and I made the recording of this show. Thanks for all the interest! My web site is jonahschulte.com but my music web site is http://www.burlingtonlivemusic.com/. It's got a bunch of free shows if you feel like checking it out (mostly from the Burlington Vermont area).
Getting back to the topic at hand, I'm really surprised no one else taped this show... just about every other show at Rothbury had no less than 5 tapers! It seems like people just didn't know what was going to happen here, which I think should have been pretty obvious... Oh well!
The recording was made with a Rode NT4 stereo microphone and was recorded using a Zoom H4 onto an SD card. I edited the show and converted it from WAV to FLAC with Amadeus Pro on my Mac. So I guess the source is:
Rode NT4 Stereo Mic > XLR Cables > Zoom H4 @ 16/44.1 > SD Card > Amadeus Pro > WAV to FLAC converter
I wish I had a better windscreen on the microphone but unfortunately it was kind of windy so there's a fair amount of wind noise on the recording. Let me know if you have any other questions, and enjoy!

Thanks Jonah! I hope you don't mind that I seeded this without asking first! :-)
I know that there are some other people who taped this, but I haven't seen any other sources posted yet, and I just couldn't wait to hear it any longer! |

Hey again,
keeb333: It's fine with me that you posted it! I've looked over the documentation on posting a seed on bt.etree.org but I must admit it's very confusing and doesn't appear to be that helpful. I've heard I should try "Trader's Little Helper" and will look into doing that.
I have part of Keller's set from Rothbury but I missed the first 15 minutes or so because I wanted to tape all of Snoop Dogg. :-)

| Posting a show has to be easier then setting up a website for people to download shows you record and soliciting donations for those recordings. Whatever. |

| I don't know, man, I've been d'l-ing torrents for years, and just figured out how to seed yesterday. But then again, I'm a few squares short of a sheet! |

I would think so too, but I have yet to see a page with a real how-to on posting a show on etree. To be honest I haven't done much looking beyond etree.org's web site, but I would think clear instructions should exist there.
Setting up my own site was actually very easy. I chose to do that instead of posting everything on archive.org or etree because my primary focus is on music in the Burlington Vermont area. I wanted to be able to say to someone "go to burlingtonlivemusic.com and download a copy of this show". It's a little bit easier than explaining what to search for on archive.org and hoping they find the correct show. I also post a lot of the stuff I record on archive if I think it would benefit from a larger audience.
I do solicit donations on the site, but I have never received a donation. It's just there for the hell of it...
Yes, I will be posting Snoop Dogg and Keller soon.
Thanks,
Jonah |
