This second set is a real treat! The vocals suffer on Scarlet>Fire but Jerry makes up for it in his playing. The Playin>Dark Star is simply amazing and the sound quality on this must be top notch as the cassette I had back in the late 90's was pretty damn good.
This and 10/1/94 were most likely the best two shows of 94. |

| I would put Vegas 6/26 with the massive Terrapin and Shoreline 7/2 with the TMNS > Sugaree > TMNS opener up there in the Top 10 of '94. |

I had the good fortune of attending the Omni run, Deercreek run, Soldier Field run, St Louis run, and Buckeye.....
1st night Omni 3/30 and 1st night St Louis[Riverport] 7/26 were the two best out of those shows IMHO : ]

| I thought 7-2&3-94 were pretty good as well. Dont think Ive seen them torrented here though. Think the encore was/is missing on 7-3. Disagree with the assessment on the last Dark Star. It sounded like it was phoned in. IMHO. Thanks for this show. Cheers. |

Love this show -- like how Vince opens the Scarlet with a Coltrane riff.
If shows from this tour are to appear, I'd very much like the see the previous show -- 3/28 Nassau -- which had a very unusual and beautiful second set (and a good first one, too).

What about it? Looks good on paper, but it sucked. The volume was too low. Cutler's first show and he was playing it too safe. There actually was a "turn it up" chant. No energy and stayed that way for the whole run. |

9-29-94 Boston Garden has to be thrown in the ring too. Often overshadowed by the 10-1 show, 9-29's second set was (aside from Estimated, which rocked) straight out of 1974!!!
Playing In The Band > Eyes Of The World > Estimated Prophet > He's Gone > Drums > Space > Spanish Jam > The Other One > Wharf Rat > Sugar Magnolia
