good show. I remember Trey saying this show was a microcosm of the entire tour. At times, he said, this was the worst of Phish, and at times, the best of Phish. I have often wondered what parts of this show he actually considered the worst of Phish, but either way, I enjoy it. Thanks!

I already have this recording, and I tried to hop on and seed, but it didn't work like usual. Is the fileset changed at all? Also...I've got 10-22-95 in two flavors...should we load us up a torrent?

Any comments on the source as compared to others that are floating around out there?

the U87s from the fall tour are all pretty good. The only source that trumps them IMHO are the Geffell 210s that showed up.

"I have often wondered what parts of this show he actually considered the worst of Phish"
Clearly, it isn't the Wolfman's > Makisupa, which is included in a retail Live Phish release. The Bathtub > Llama and 2001 are nothing to scoff at, either.
Best show I've been to! |

I personnaly remember thinking how kick-ass the entire show was through-out, and then everytime I've listened to it since...Maybe Trey smoked some crack that day...maybe he confused it with the year before

Yeah this was the only show I made it to that tour and I guess the first set had some dull moments, but overall it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

"Any comments on the source as compared to others that are floating around out there?"
I haven't heard the Gefells yet, but I remember I was told that the U87 source was incredible for this show. I usually prefer Neumanns to Schoeps, by a hair, but on this one, I had both on DAT, and I thought the U87s were a bit rich; too boomy. The Schoeps 64 source was much crisper, the better source to my ear. But alas, my DAT had some weird squeaking noises during Theme From the Bottom, and I see the etree circulated Schoeps version has some diginoise in Gin.
Does anybody have a Schoeps DAT clean that they can transfer? |

I remember at one point being behind the stage during the crazy jam on 2001 (I think it was), and watching Trey and Page battle over what song to segue into. I remember lots of teases, as they were trying to segue to the next song. Seems Fishman made the decision in the end. Just a memory, kinda foggy, but it was a magical Phish moment.

there were cruel Walk Away teases in the second set. I wanted to hear that so bad, too.
