One of the all time great Bathtub Gin's
mcjanks 2008-07-29 11:34:11
One more nod the gods for putting all these together Clancy.

Also, forgetten in all the other stuff, is the best Antelope I ever saw.

bernieboop 2008-07-29 11:44:42
One of my two favorite shows of Summer '98 (the other being 7/21 Phoenix).

Everyone always talks about the Gin, but there is much more to this show. Buried Alive really "goes places" and the Tube & Antelope are both top notch.
timbermike 2008-07-29 12:22:29
This show is killer. Bathtub gets all the pub and it should, but a reworked Dog Log followed. Second set is just smokin! Very exploratory Buried Alive, great Bag, Tube and Antelope is off the charts. Not as happy with the encores.
eaglesguy 2008-07-29 13:41:53
sick show here guys.

perfect jamming and placement all show. the gin may be the best ever. dog log is an awesome song and the perfect way to cool down. then foam. i also may be in the minority but i think fikus is a really cool little song.

the only jammed-out buried alive ever with a perfect segue into if you need a fool. after that the rest of the set is filled with knock-outs.

even though "cool" seems like a very inarticulate word its a fitting way to describe the selections throughout the night.
Tiger2 2008-07-29 13:47:21
agreed, this is a great show. not sure I have this source, so thanks!
mcjanks 2008-07-29 14:01:31
P.S. I think the encores are out of order (bittersweet is last)

ClancyWiggum 2008-07-29 14:02:04
I have this show for years now and didn't know a single thing about this Buried Alive. When I started seeding I thought "Whait - what? 14 Minutes?" - lol... I should listen to my collection more often.
ClancyWiggum 2008-07-29 14:10:28
>>P.S. I think the encores are out of order (bittersweet is last)<<

Yup... there also is a similar user-comment in the database.
VAslim 2008-07-29 18:09:53
totally bummed that i was shut out and sittin in the lot for this one.
actually sounded pretty good outside though, i guess...
jmbayer 2008-07-29 22:28:15
We were in Row D center...I turned to my buddy Cree probably 11 minutes in to Buried and said... Wait....Damn Cree they still playing Buried Alive?!? Yes, Doc they are...
Loved that moment.

Hell of a show indeed!
whisp3rs 2008-07-30 13:40:56
Encores are backwards; you sir, are correct.

I'm stoked to hear another smoker of 98.. I saw the east coast up from ATL.. 8/8 being my personal fav. This seems like it's going to be the gem of the midwest...
antelope19 2008-07-30 17:06:19
Thanks!
gotfob 2008-07-30 17:16:14
I know this is well seeded, BUT if someone wants to post my transfer, shn id 25561. It's a direct digi out of Nutters HHb. The track listing is correct and no ZA2 was used. Which btw resamples on the fly. I lost the flac discs or i would seed myself.
clancy?
ClancyWiggum 2008-07-31 13:18:01
I don't have gotfob's transfer nor do I have his from 07-31, so I can't help here. :( But I'd be glad if I could grab those.
