Hey Marc, thanks for the positive vibe but IMHO the thanks should go to Mark McCue, Adam, Monica, Johnny Kelly and Davey the beeker meade for the taping & Albix for the transfers/IA access of these gems up in Rhode Island...these shows at the boiling point of the tour were hotter than a cat on a tin roof..just stellar high octance killer gdead & i thats where it stands with these..otherwise enjoy & thanks for the welcome back here...

| glad to see an interest in these shows.i had fun w/ that tour packet i bought from the band. poor jerry,we got the tour flu i portland and jerry must have picked it up after these shows.i met everyone except phil in the lobby of the biltmore.ah youth,it was grand.the elevator ride w/ jerry i wil always cherrish.come on, break out crazy fingers.i wonder to this day, did the band talk of me during the sound check to head my request.there youy have it.i'll always love that stroke of jerry's guitar for the 1st jam in that crazy finger.i got the high five all around when they broke into crazy fingers.i really love that tour but 83 will be true true to my hart forever.enjoy all tunes |

hey mac, this tour was my last after 4 years on the road w/the fellas even though i blew off hampton, since i never liked the laws attitude there and picked it up in springfield, nassau, portland, providence of course which IMHO these shows smoked at the heat of the tours peak & the phillys which were unreal as far as setlist and the fellas playing in itself, w00f...but those will wait until i do the berkeley & oakland shows next, your sources too + deli's(one show in the bunch, thanks mike & chips)so thanks to you as well and bix for the transfers and IA access i'll somewhat complete the first part of the year...thanks, good vibes to all & be well :)

"Tour Flu"
Memories.....
Someone I knew who was studying Epidemiology at the college I went to said he had swabbed and tested 300 people with "Touritis" and determined that it was parasitic in its genesis, and traced it to FEET!
He told me to wear full-protection sneakers, at least, and change socks a lot. Always wash if the feet get wet.... etc.
Caught an awful lot of shows from '83-'85 and never did catch it! |

hehehehehe mike, that touritis i had somewhat of an odd case where id danced so hard for the better part of 4 years and drove my dead mobiles in barefeet that my soles were bleeding but id been damned if i felt it, i enjoyed the 4 year run so much my feet were the least of my worries, heh
