-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 4 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom & Todd....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:

Yep, April seems to traditionally be a good month for these guys, and this show carries on that tradition.
Set I opens with a HUGE Africa and then some newer tunes for the time and a nice Hermeto's to close the set....while Set II, like other 2nd sets from this month, has a great flow and some crazy sounds...

April 04 with all the Improv gigs is my fav April mmw.
I am hoping that when the Shackman project gets to '04, down the road, that some of the missing improv gigs turn up.
4/23/04 is one of the top 5 mmw shows I've heard.
Thanks to Shack, Newplanet, Duggy and everyone else out there for getting all the mmw up for the rest of us to snatch.

See discussion in the comments on 4/19/1998 for an explanation:
http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=517918
...but, the first three tracks of Set I should be labeled:
1. Africa >
2. Drum Solo >
3. "Chris & Tam" > Open Improv [@10:58] > |
