New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
Fairgrounds, New Orleans, LA
The original DAT had an odd quality to the high frequencies, with
some occasional noise (wind, perhaps). This was NOT the result
of the DAT > CDR transfer, which was purely digital.
In spite ofthe imperfections, this is a rare show of which not many sources
are available, so I figured I'd spread it.

I remember the hot sun, the incredible headache from the beer, the nice transition into Wolfman's and some really good bud the I shared with some old guy from New Orleans who loved Dixieland jazz and insisted that Louis Armstrong got it all wrong when he went to a solo style instead of the collective improvisation common to Dixieland.
Thanks for the seed! |

I also remember a nice moment with Trey in the gospel tent before Phish's set. That was also cool.
Thanks again for the seed. |
