There are two 4/1/76 shows right in a row here that look to be identical other than the "aud" number. Is there a difference between the two?

yes, the difference is that this seed is an aud. recording by Steve Rolfe, and the other seed a recording by Jerry Moore; thanks for asking! |

Thanks arbuthnot. Am I interpreting correctly that this version doesn't have the drop outs/cuts that are in the other version (other than two which have been patched)?
Also do you know how the sound compares between the two?
This looks like an amazing set list and I'm happy to have just one, but with two versions I'm not sure what to do!

i did listen to both sources, and imho, the Moore recording is sharper and clearer and more up front; i'm not really qualified to state specifics, i just know what my ears tell me; all that being said, the Rolfe recording is pretty good as well, just not as sweet as the Moore recording; as for any cuts/dropouts, i only listened for quality of sound and not for flaws as such; if anyone else can answer lanewbie's question, it would be much appreciated; thanks |
