-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 4 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom & Todd....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:

Well, basically, if you don't have this show already, then you need to stop any other downloads and hop on this NOW so you can download it as fast as you can...hands down one of the best sets of music I've heard...I never tire of listening to this...a perfect example of the perfectly suited guitar player for MMW...and yes, I always prefer the trio, but Ribot in this set is incredible...
Worth mentioning is my addition of this note regarding the opening track:
"'98 Bassline" [@4:10]--slightly Toy Dancing-ish and Chris plays same bassline in opening track of 4/17/98, but this is more of a theme they improvise around than it is an actual song
...thought it worth noting, and there's really cool playing around that bassline each time...parts of Toy Dancing were played with all over the place, it seems, during the '98 touring thus far... |

I should also mention we've got another source for this show as well: mmw1998-06-16.os.sony-ecm959a.77379
..On Stage mics...sounds great, as does this source...they're each different though and worth hearing... |

| Thanks so much for sharing this and the other Shack Project shows, greatly appreciated! I actually already have this show and have the source labeled as: Schoeps CMXY4V (on-stage) > HHb Portadat (assuming it is the same source). |

Thanks duggy.
RBayers:
FYI, one currently has to be a registered user to download that torrent from Demonoid. I tried but got the following info:
"Non-registered visitors are limited to newer torrents only.
To download torrents older than a few days, you must register."
I also tried registering but registration is currently closed... oh well. But thanks again for keeping us folks informed. |

...well, I'm not sure...I guess I might assume this is the same source as well, but the actual mic info was a new addition to this source info -- it used to circulate, as you see above, as "SBD + Schoeps CMC64 + EW tc-40k". I can't remember how or when Mike got the legitimate source info but he might be able to better respond to your wondering...if this source is indeed on-stage, that would make sense to my ears...and why perhaps it had been thought to have a SBD feed in the mix...

I will have to track down my other (same?) source and compare. May take a few weeks as I am heading out of town and have no idea where the discs might be hiding. Will update when I get back and find them.
Also, any chance of seeding the 6/14 Seattle King Cat show? I have it on cassette so would love an upgrade. It was my first MMW show seen in person. |

tim.
We have a new source for 6/14.
Twilight will be seeding it after he tracks it out.
The old one is filled with errors.
