I believe this is the first copy of this Matrix source on CD. I looked long and hard for a soundboard for this excellent show, and traded at least five times over two years for supposed Matrix recordings, only to find each time that set I was a Matrix and set II was an audience recording. D'oh! This is -- FINALLY! -- the real deal. Thanks to Rob Harrison for the DAT>CD transfer, and for abandoning his 8-track disco recordings to make time to supply these discs! Whoo-hoo! Let me get a whoop-whoop for my main dog Rob! (God help me.)

Known issues
Airto Moriera plays on Sugaree > West LA in set I, and I Know You Rider > One More Saturday Night on set II. He is sometimes audible and often not.

Intermittent diginoise in Jack Straw has been replaced with a patch from the Matrix (oops I mean audience) source, from 4:24 to 5:18.

Drums and space are seamless, and can be reassembled effortlessly when those DVD burners finally become popular and we're all listening to recordings by mind-travel.

thanks again for all the 1989 GD. my favorite year of seeing the band - now I just need to scoot over to the archive and get aud copies to complete the year.

Deadicated! Thank you! It looks like you've got one more show to go!

I've been thinking... If you have as much '85 as you do '89, you might want to throw some '85 our way before starting '87... '85 is coming pretty slow and it looks like there are some serious gaps already...like the month of March, for example. There are at least 4 or 5 shows missing. It seems like you have been pretty f-ing thorough in providing the vast majority of shows from '89, so I'm blabbering under the assumption that you have a similar percentage of the '85 shows. Regardless...I thank you sooooooo much for 1989!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deadicated:

why the hell would anybody deactivate your account, bro? you have been one of the strongest contributors over the last month or so, so i don't get it...
dgeisler 2008-09-14 21:33:22
Why are you guys gonna start an '85 project here when there is one going on @ Lossless Legs? They're only in the Month of April and it takes nothing to catch up. '87 was just finished no more than 2 weeks ago @ Workingman's Tracker & they started the year of '88 shortly after. Please pick another year :)
Eric_A_DeadHead 2008-09-14 22:38:23
Cool-leo...
Eric_A_DeadHead 2008-09-14 22:43:32
Dude, '8(ty) freaking 3!!! Eighty three!
Nineteen eighty threeeeeeee!!!

1983! Or better yet, '81 or '82, or... '84!!!! PLEASE!!!! BRENT!!!! I dig on the '86 even... I think '80s been kinda done to death for now, but it has mucho great shows, esp. in May... '79... done.

Do '85 in a few months down the road, when new people who missed the lossless legs need it.. makes sense, right? I don't want to be like a lame "me-to" of another site... Though it would be difficult to ever make this place anything besides fantastic, great, beautiful, freienly, wait, I'm thinking about women now... anyway. '81-'84 OPEN THE DOOR!!!!!!

'81-'84, etree please open the door, '81-'84, etree please open the door,'81-'84, etree please open the door,'81-'84, etree please open the door,'81-'84, etree please open the door...

Not to be annoying, but I just spent days getting '85 already, as have many others, I'm sure... ; )
Eric_A_DeadHead 2008-09-14 22:46:16
I meant 1980 has been done, and '79 and '85, '87, 88, and '89 (and '90...).

I'd like to request a 1981-1983 vintage to go with my double cheezbooger and FRY!!! Hey, I work there... Good enough for now... close, my back is OK with it...

'81-'84, please!!!!

The '70s are kinda spent, also, don't go there... yet... : )
jdawg42 2008-09-15 00:32:35
I vote for '87.
DarkStarTheOtherOne 2008-09-15 06:31:10
Gotta go with Eric on this, '81 - '84 or even '69 - '70. Wait awhile until LL is finished with '85 before you start it here and '87 just finished at GDVault/Workingman's Tracker. That way it'll give it more time so that there will be more people who missed it and are more likely to download it.
