Here is last night's show from Atlanta. I was psyched to see my good friends Greensky Bluegrass open up for hometown favorites Blueground Undergrass. As much as I have seen and recorded the boys up in the midwest, I was looking forward to having them play in my "backyard"! I had Chris C. pick me up at the airport as my plane landed at about 7:30. By the time I grabbed my luggage and got outside to Chris, it was about 8:05. We arrived upstairs at 8:30. I set up swiftly and was able to catch the opening notes of the Junior League Band at 8:34.
Great to hang in back with Greensky and say hey to Blueground! I enjoyed the 65 minute set. To me, they were rolling along and before you knew it, they were done. The crowd was pretty good for a Thurday and they grooved on the set! Got to hear two of my favorites Can't Make Time and 200 Miles from Montana. I liked the One Way Out out of the Atl Breakdown.
Fun hangin' with Chris, Taper Roy from Charlotte, Ryan from Loose Cannon, and of course - the Greensky Gang!
