Notes:

1) SBD source was about 1.5% fast.

2) Cut in the SBD between Cumberland and Moon, before encores, and for the first two minutes of the recording. Brief cut in the SBD near the end of Saint. Sizable Cuts in SBD and AUD during Space - these cuts did not overlap, so the whole song is now present. Brief dropout in the AUD mid Attics.

3) Because of just plain weirdness in the Tuning track of the SBD in set 2, which was mostly the Fishman patch, I opted to only have the AUD play.

4) I noticed some faint clicks/static in the SBD here and there.

While I am fully aware of the one (1) dude whom I seeded this whole show to the other day during the etree meltdown and has not stuck around to seed and left me all alone while s/he runs off and enjoys the matrix in a dark closet somewhere in Timbuctoo, I guess it's karma because I have pulled such devilish shenanigans myself.

peace!
Eric_A_DeadHead 2008-10-14 01:36:09
Thank you, kind sir. These things are great. However... (just kidding). I'm impressed with your ability to get so many of these out. Any chance of any early '80s stuff anytime (I'm thinking '82-'84, actually)? It'd be nice to get one of those good Help > Slip > Franklin's shows that has one of those second sets where the whole thing just flows. I think the Dick's Picks Alpine Valley (32?) is a great example of an OK first set, but a second set that is basically one big long jam (to my mind) with transitions from one song to another, but a common thread running through the entire set. Anyway, perhaps I'm being nebulous... thx for this!
hseamons 2008-10-14 01:56:29
Eric,

There has been some early 80's stuff I've done, but interestingly no show with a Help>Slip>Frank's. Maybe call out a specific show (with sources) and I'll look into it.

Seems like you may have missed some of my early 80's stuff, so here's the list, just in case:

06-20-80; 10-03-80 (Acoustic); 05-08-81; 05-09-81; 08-10-82; 10-09-82; 10-10-82; 03-31-83; 10-17-83; 04-26-84
jmoleton 2008-10-14 02:01:05
Hunter,

I didn't realize you were the only seeder on here for this show...I pulled from another site, but will help you seed on here...it is weird there are only 3 leechers currently for this magnificent matrix of a fine show.
Anyways, thank you as usual for your deadication, and hopefully these leechers will learn to remain on as seeders once they pull a show...it benefits everybody!
Peace
jmoleton 2008-10-14 02:04:14
how about 4-17-83 Help/Slip/Franklins? I do not have the source ids on me, but I know a fine sbd and audience source exist as I have d/led both from etree or some other sites...just a suggestion
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:05:30
^THANKS J!
rubberbozo 2008-10-14 02:06:31
I also got it at the other site. I would seed here but don't know how to get on this tracker.... Sorry. For what it's worth, it is still up there...
jmoleton 2008-10-14 02:07:12
sorry...also 9-11-83 Help/Slip/Franklins sbd and audience (multiple) sources exist. However, I am waiting for the ultimate audience source to give birth on etree or elsewhere. I know it exists, b/c I still have the cassette that sounds much more sonically superior than any existing digital or analog source we have here on etree and /or other sites
jmoleton 2008-10-14 02:10:24
I think if you still have the show on your hard drive, all you have to do is click on the torrent (like you would if you were d/ling), and as long as your d/l of the torrent is already complete, it should automatically seed for others

I use UTorrent, and have no problems
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:13:30
...and sometimes a text file may be updated, or a file added (not in this case) for which you simply download the replacement/new files automatically, and then you'll go to 100% seeding action! (I think)
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:21:16
...in cases of two DIFFERENT folders (e.g., where different text files, or something, are in the torrent) you would need to have a different folder of files for that torrent, unless they are all the same files. (I think)
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:22:38
...that is if you still want to seed to 2 trackers (or more) at the same time (I think)
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:23:20
THANKS TO THE SEEDERS AND FOR THE SUGGESTIONS! LOVE POSTS!
rubberbozo 2008-10-14 02:23:35
ok - I think I got it going - I show two versions - one of each tracker, but they're going :)
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:30:10
Great, now that there's a better seeder to leecher ratio here - and hopefully more to come - I'll use all my seeding powers for the Orlando Calrissian mtx - so that everybody can start listening to both matrices by 3:37 AM!!!!
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:36:20
...Mountain Time Zone, at least...
jmoleton 2008-10-14 02:41:26
Hunter, I live in PST time zone (Cali). What state/city do you live in MST? Just curious to see where our main seeders are from!
hseamons 2008-10-14 02:46:33
No, Chi-town (Central Time Zone). I go by the Uptown almost every day and cry profusely. Then when I head south and go by Soldier Field, I cry even more profusely again.
rubberbozo 2008-10-14 02:50:53
I know how you feel - almost- I still miss dirty, smelly old Winterland.

Is it not amazing, that when you suffer the most, with the least, with friends at hand...that you remember those times the most fondly?
The earliest instance of this I can recall is being at a sitters house; I must have been about 3-4 years old. As soon as the sun came up she made us go outside. We said "Miss Smith, it's cold out here!" she told us to go up on the hill and stand in the sun.
With nothing do to but what she said, I remember standing there in a line with the other kids turning in unison as if we were standing in front of a fire (warming the other side) talking and shivering.
I have many other poignant memories throughout my life and strangely most are of suffering with friends though tough times, or alone. Maybe those are the things worth remembering. Lessons of love, sharing difficult times with someone willing (or forced) to suffer with you through them or maybe just less than ideal circumstances. It seems the snapshots, clips, smells, sounds and music make those times something that's impossible to forget.
how many times we traveled through several states to see a 2 or 3 night show but could only afford one night. Sitting in the grass (or concrete, asphalt) outside listening to the booming bass coming though the walls and trying to guess the set list. godamn those were good times for me but too short and i still wish i hadn't let that balloon go at the jerry show in Hampton!!! 6-up!

Thanks for the matrix !
