| Description | On April 6, 1999, two cassettes were given to Phil Lesh. The tapes are labeled "PHISH Various Live For Phil - Phish Archives". These were tunes for the band (Phil and Friends) to learn for the upcoming shows (April 15-17 1999). The labels say "Refence DAT>Cassette No Dolby". So basically, these are cassettes made off of the DAT master soundboard tapes. I'm almost done transferring them. I'm sure some of these already circulate in SBD, but I figured I would still get this out. I can also scan the tape labels too

Hey Charlie, Thank you for your amazing endless contributions. We met in SF while I was working for Into Video on Haight. You hooked me up with some of the best Dead shows (on tape) I'd ever heard. I tried to give you some blanks for your kindness but you said "I've got a ton of em, but thanks" Anyway I was wondering if you have or know anyone who has the Santana show at the Fillmore April 18 1999 when Trey and Page showed up. I went to the show and it felt like there was about 5 people there who knew who they were. Thanks again for everything Charlie.

| Wow, this one is really dragging some people (myself included) out of the woodwork. The 7-29-97 Gumbo is fucking awesome...and yes, the 10-15-98 Caspian along with the 8-16-96 Gin are all worth downloading this for...even though pretty much everyone and their mother has the FM of 8-16-96. This is awesome, thanks Charlie. |

Thanks – has anyone else notice distortion on the sound here, especially in the right channel? I don't know how my cd burning could've come up with the distortion – it must be in the original sound source?
Anyone else? I might have to check out the lossless files again, but as said, my resulted burning has notable distortion problems here. |

| Yes, I noticed A LOT of distortion in all of the files; one was so distorted I couldn't bear to listen. |
