Here is last night's Clouds show from the Ark. It is still one of my very favorite venues anywhere! It was Take a Chance Tuesday. The Ark does this the last Tuesday every month. It is a free show with raffles and such. I have seen many a good show, sometimes bands I have never seen.
I saw JT with Chris, his keyboard player in Toledo on Sunday evening as they opened for Po' Girl. I was anxious to see the whole band. They played about a 74 minute set. It was very well received. I was 19th in line and when the doors opened, I grabbed "my" spot 8' from stage. It sounds very sweet if I may say so.
The double Spicy Tuna Rolls and Miso Soup from Sushi Town, made the ride back very palatable!

| I loved the JTNero and Chris Neal show you taped on the 26th of October. Never heard him/them. They opened for Po'Girls show as you said and since I was enchanted with your recording of the Po' Girls performance I knew the JT Nero and Chris Neal was going to be special. Not surprisingly it was excellent! Another fantastic Z-Man recording. I especially loved the Gallup, New Mexico song being born in New Mexico myself. Not too much in Gallup, the song fit perfectly with the atmosphere of that New Mexican town. To my surprise I actually found I loved JT Neal more than the Po'Girls which is like saying one likes clover honey vs. blueberry honey...meaning they are both outstanding performers. It is just that JT has a certain sweetness and strength in his sound that captivated my heart. I look forward to yet another wonderful recording. Thank you Z-Man. |

JT is amazing. He was down here in Austin with Po Girl when they were recording their album. They were doing a wekly gig at Momo's and he sat in with them the last show. He did his songs with Po Girl as the band and then some solo songs. He is an incredible performer and a really nice guy. I actually sat with him at The ACL taping of Sharon Jones & Carolyn Wonderland.
My boss thinks he looks like a blond Lyle Lovett.
