Thanks to ALL involved....I am cutting and pasting some of the comments from LL about this....I type too slow to simply copy them..LOL..Big Thanks to all the GEM guys for this...

First one:
Ok..heres the skinny on this...The Vocals are very low in the mix, either the taper was too close to the stage or the soundman was having a bad night.Even the patch source has low vocals. But the music...ahh,the music...it shines through,Bell clear and ear candy for sure...... If this was a gd concert I would say oh well and listen to it once and throw it in the "pile"..however this is JGB and Jerry's solo's on almost every song are amazing, you listen to this and forget that words are even needed,Jamie and I talked about this show and he says top twenty all time...I cant disagree, the music flows so well and I dont know if its the lack of vocals or it was one of "those" nights, either way Jamie did a great job on this, actually bringing vocals out of the mix is an art and if you heard the raw files you would understand just how much he has done to this....Thanks Jamie and Thanks to Katfish John for sharing another uncirculated source....DBtree is giving me fits,so as soon as I get a shnid I will post it for all of you.....Please dont let the low vocals scare you away...you need to hear this show, even if you just dl and delete it,Its that nice....

Second one:
im honored to take part in the mission.

yes, i feel this is an all time classic JGB..easily in my top 20 of JGB shows..there are some moments that defy explanation, on a random June evening at the Keystone

edit:

oh the patch source story...when dazed sent these to me to check out, i thought..."hmm"...i look on my harddrive a few days later in a pile of stuff from jjoops and lo and behold, the 6 11 1982 martin source is there. I endeavour to do both at first, working on this source. Well, this source was missing Simple Twist and DEal was patched in from an inferior source. So i investigated the Martin AUD and there are issues throughout. but these issues clear up for the last couple of songs. The ones we need. So this composite is really a testament to source hounding. One version released...combining the best of what each had to offer.

You will really get a kick out of this show...crank her up.

thanks go to dazed, katfishjohn, jjoops, steve martin, and the unknown taper..and as always, bluedakota.

third one:
Just to echo the comments below, I remember quite clearly being struck at this show by all the unique flourishes Jerry threw in. These are evident throughout, even in songs he played very frequently. For example, check out all the little accents he throws in during They Love Each Other (e.g. at around the .50 second mark). The point is you should not miss this show, and many thanks are due to the guys who have done all the hard work to make it sound better than ever, with an assist to serendipity for the terrific patch source that Jamie tracked down. Here's to another lost treasure seeing the light of day 26 years after the fact. Enjoy, Katfish John

I am the "unknown taper". I am Jeff Knudsen. I was in the Navy stationed at Moffett Field June 1979 to December 1982. I taped all the 82 show in the Bay Area. I just noticed tonight all the "new to circulation" 82 tapes. The first one I noticed was the 4-25-82. I thought, "Wow, someone else also taped, I wonder......." ---and then I read in the notes that "Splice in Don't Let Go,Taper is Heard having words with security" That would be me! I was loaded and I had decided to duct tape my mics to the post that went up to the ceiling. All was well, but suddenly this security guy who was new on the job shows up and has a fit. While he was yapping I quickly gave the whole set up to my friend and told him to split. This security guy got all upset and decided to throw me out of the show. I played along and the main security guy at the door asked me what is going on. I told him I was taping and this clown is working too hard. He knew me and told me to behave. I promised I would. I went back to my front row table. I always taped from the front row tables-- to much trouble to tape on the dance floor. As soon as I got back my friend show up with my rig and that was the night I learned to tape the mics at about a 30degree separation and stick the mics in black socks. Then I learned to hold the mics in my right arm pit and aim them at the stage during instrumentals and aim them up at the speaker banks during the vocals. You should hear the next night -- 4-26-82!!! I am glad that they are now "in circulation". I have never done any cassette to CD, so I am glad someone did. I have no idea who Katfish John or Jamie Waddell are but I am glad that they go this stuff up for everyone to share. If anyone knows these guys and they want to talk to me more about the history of these 1982 tapes they can contact me at misujry@yahoo.com

...oh yea. Concerning "The Vocals are very low in the mix, either the taper was too close to the stage or the soundman was having a bad night"

None of that is true. I was taping from the front row table in the balcony right behind Harry Popick and the soundboard. That is why the vocals are "low". Also the bar was directly below and they used to break the booze bottles after they are empty and periodically you can hear the sound of a breaking bottle.
