Notes:
- Patch at the very beginning of "Throwing Sones" from shnID 93682
- There are a few, minute bad spots in the tape in MAMU. Patching
would have been more intrusive, so left as is.
- Tape flips crossfaded where applicable
- This is a nice solid, clear recording. These dates have already yielded
some stellar tapes, all in all, it will in the end be a listeners choice.
These are very full, very up front, and an all around great listen and
representaion of a fantasic show. Thank you fellas for another wonderful
set of tapes!!
Tapers Comments:
These 82 Frost shows are also a tapers choice. Taping these shows
with the same three mic mix yielded steller recordings. Unlike the
Greek Theater shows this venue created a much warmer vibe which seems
to come through on these analogs. Being a student at Stanford Jamie
was in his element. I don't recall all of the other tapers who helped
us make these shows but they were great.

| Can I really be the first one to say muchas gracias. I used to have nice cass auds of this show, never knew the exact lineage, but I know it was only a few gens from the master. This recording sounds like the same source. Man I used to play this run a lot! Thanks for the very kind share, I already have boards of these shows, but man 3!!! Nak 700's FOB, sign me up, and THANK YOU JERRY! |

| In the first few bars of the Estimated jam, it always makes me laugh with those really short/succinct wah wah notes....Jer was obviously having alot of fun with it. Frost was the shizzle and Poris' tape ruled. I used to have a line in on all his masters, many of them in dbx. I really would like to the hear the 10-31-83 from Marin Civic Center.... |
