Is Silent Scream the Slayer song?
dorrcoq 2008-11-14 08:59:28
thanks
SherrifMarksman 2008-11-14 09:10:47
Clyde: No, Silent Scream is an original Warren tune from Deja Voodoo, the first Andy Hess era album.

how is this venue? i'm considering checking out the sts9 show there next friday, but i've heard a lotta bad things about the rave. any thoughts? thanks...
gopack78 2008-11-14 11:10:42
Thr Rave is not a bad club.. its best to get seats in the vip sections above the floor.. then you have easy access to drinks and such and not so squeezed in
briank67 2008-11-14 11:22:06
^^yes but i love the dance floor!
Belexes 2008-11-14 11:42:35
As a taper, it's a fairly tough room to record in. The acoustics could be better. $7.50 beers. The area around the Rave isn't that good and I walked out with a buddy last night as people have been getting jumped.

"how is this venue? i'm considering checking out the sts9 show there next friday, but i've heard a lotta bad things about the rave. any thoughts? thanks..."
the rave is the worst venue in the midwest by far. generally terrible sound (although the main room has improved its system somewhat recently), rude nazi staff, seven bucks for a miller lite, no ventilation, filthy facilities, iffy neighborhood. the only reason i can think of that bands continue to play there is that the rave pays them more money than other venues can. or that they just don't care about how fans experience their music. milwaukee has the pabst, the riverside, turner hall, the miramar. play those rooms for God's sake!
sorry, rant over with.
briank67 2008-11-14 18:12:19
thanks for the comments guys. i'm still on the fence. tickets for the sts9 show are only $20 but i'll have to buy them on ticketbastard which costs $12 more. i got megabus tickets a while ago for really cheap but my plans to stay the night after the show at a friend's place have fallen through, so i'll probably end up spending $50 altogether to make it up from chicago...not sure if i wanna spend that much dough especially given the iffy venue...

Did anyone tape the Northampton, MA show?
It was an absolute smoker and I did not see a single taping rig!?!
Was everyone at Phil? LOL
taperjoe 2008-11-15 02:35:51
One thing that should be mentioned - they were giving out free tickets to the Black Crowes show last night! The place may suck, but they keep dragging me back there...

Thanks!
