their loving care getting these sources out.

Notes on the Source Material
SBD (ShnID = 87643)
Another flawless transfer by Charlie Miller. The cassette master
SBD has a bit more hiss than most. It was also missing just about
all the between song crowd/tuning and actually clipped a milli-
second or so off the very beginning of a few songs in set 1.
Charlie did a good job crossfading what crowd there was to make
a more natural song to song transition. This made it difficult
for me to patch these cuts with the AUD but it isn't too bad.
AUD1 (ShnID = 31211)
Ted Mattes made a spectacular FOB. Full, rich and dynamic with
everyone nicely in the mix and a good feel for the room and the vibe.
---------------------------------------------------------
Tech Notes
FLACs were decoded to wave. Wavemerge was used to reassemble the
entire show back to 1 long wave. CEP2.0 was used to align & sync
both of the sources. SF8.0 used to EQ and adjust the volume for the
center, surround and LFE channels. Surcode CD Pro DTS was used to
encode to DTS.

- For best results print at the highest resolution onto glossy
photo paper. Design for use in a clear, slim double CD case.

to reduce this analog hiss. The AUD recording was then used to
fill out this frequency range. See notes.
---------------------------------------------------------
Notes
The entire show is seamless and can be burned in any config that
you want and can be played back in its entirety from start to
finish without interruption.
The SBD had an unusually apparent analog hiss for a cassette
master. I was able to successfully reduce this by applying a very
narrow high frequency notch filter. I then took that same
frequency range from the AUD source and patched it into the SBD
by mixing the 2 sources together. The results were very nice and
that analog hiss is now inaudible and the SBD still has a full
frequency range.
d1t01 "Tuning" the SBD source started very abruptly. This was
fixed with a lead in patch from the AUD source and a crossfade
to the SBD source.
d1t02 - d1t09 Just about all the between song crowd was missing
and actually clipped a milli-second or so off the very beginning
of a few songs in set 1. I patched these missing portions with
the AUD source and crossfaded back to the SBD right at the
point the song starts. In most cases this is completely inaudible
but a couple of these patches and transistions can be heard.
d3t01 "Space" there is a tape flip and is missing approx 15 secs.
This was patched using entirely the AUD source.
---------------------------------------------------------
More On DTS
Today's audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound
like DTS, Dolby Digital and DVD-Audio. While the Audio-CD
standard (Red Book) hasn't changed to accommodate these new
sound formats, it is still possible to go around the
specification and to put a 5.1 surround recording on a
regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect
your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial)
to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that
your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio-CD, so the first
time you're trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do
a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very
low, start the disc and rise the volume gradually. NEVER
listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analogue audio outputs
of your CD/DVD player.
Burning Instructions
Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any normal
Audio-CD from FLAC files.

Another amazing show in a tour filled with beauties.
I think all the breakout tunes from Landover (Easy To Love You, Loose Lucy, Revolution) are performed better on this night.
Then toss these aspects:
- An amazing High Time
- Can't go wrong Cassidy > Deal closer
- Wonderfully mixed up 2nd set
- Picture perfect versions of Foolish and LL Rain
- Bouncy and brilliant 2nd set Cumberland
- Surprising and enthusiastic bust-out of The Weight
- Ridiculously rockin' Hey Pocky into drums
The only conclusion that I can make is that this is 1 of the top 4 shows on this insane Spring Tour. 3/29, 3/22, 3/24, 3/28 -> not necessarily in that order. |

First of all...thank you Dan for the DTS source. The files got dated 1988 instead of 1990. For those that want to edit and fix the date of their files, I have posted the edited FFP and MD5 for you.....to save a little time copy and paste the new FFP and MD5.
Peace and thanks again,
Salah

Sad, another overproduction by Dan, last time he gave the wrong textfile with a seed, this time he cannot even get the the date right, seems all these people producing new transfers are in such a goddamn rush to compete in the producers pissing contest to see who can outdo the other.
Dates are correct on everything but the music files, just how the fuck do we fix this abortion?
Sorry, i just do not see how you can work on a file to such a point but yet cannot get the year right, it fucking boggles my mind.
Sometimes i wish everyone would stop & take the time to check out their seed well enough before rushing it up on the network, whats the point of doing substandard transfers, only to leave it as is, Dan should redo this & repost as far as im concerned, if it was someone else's mistake they would get shit on, but everyone kisses Dans ass even though he is a fuck up.
Get it right or dont do any more releases Dan. |
