Notes: This cassette master was transferred to DAT at Winterhawk 93 playback on a top of the line
Sony car cassette player that had RCA outputs and would fast forward the tape and flip the head
at the end of the set. AC Power supply was used from the car as well to power the DAT for the transfers.
We made the transfers during the Friday and Saturday of the festival while taking turns running our
at the main stage and workshop tent.

Gotta get this. I recorded a few festivals there before it got outta hand, at least for such a traditional fest, and they moved it out of there to Cherokee. There was just something special about that campground and just one small, tin-roof pavillion.
in '94 the place was so full, it was so hot, then some real serious lightning storms during Seldom Scene's and Alison Krauss' late set. Lightning hit the roof, came through the PA and shocked her soundman! (Douglas and I were both patched out)...Alison resumed about 30 minutes later and played the hottest Oh, Atlanta! |
