Hey Everyone--
This recording had to be a stealth job as The Living Room is "no way, no how" these days on recording since XM Satellite Radio bought the right to everything there. Stealth recording a Jerry Joseph show--what a bizarre concept! Anyhow, the good news is that the sound guys at Living Room are top notch so the recordings came out rather tasty if you ask me. For the ability to play two sets at this residency, JJ played the first upstairs (Googie's Lounge) & the second in the main room. The system upstairs really pales in comparison as it's just two little speakers above the "stage" vs. the real system downstairs. It still sounds real good, just not what downstairs is.
This was a real energetic solo acoustic show with Jerry getting very much love & high energy from the crowd & feeding on it. As usual, many thanks should go out to Alex Chiesi for making this go down, both as a force of nature & aiding in the transfer to this venue after the first venue booked for this residency(National Underground, already torrented here) turned out to be a disaster for all involved.
