is there a free 24->16 bit converter online that doesn't suck?
mrcharlietoldmeso 2008-12-16 17:31:09
i really hope that rollingstone article turns out to be false. I really dont have any desire to ever return to Manchester... Rothbury was such an amazing new festival last summer, if they plan on headlining a festival over the summer, it should be that one.

>>> is there a free 24->16 bit converter online that doesn't suck?

there is a free version of r8brain that is very good converter. (just google "r8brain" to find the link). keep in mind, however, that a 16 bit / 44.1 kHz version of this source already circulates as well.
metawhy 2008-12-16 19:27:53
thanks jason, i'll check out that r8brain.

I didn't plan on circulating the converted source, just wanted to get it into my itunes.

Thanks! Set II smokes, in a pretty straightforward, rocking way. Seven Below has been perfect for the 2 storms this weekend. Beautiful YEM vocal jam--more like Brattleboro music than Burlington music; sort of Messiaen-like, & truly a quartet for the end of time!

*Is there someone out there who could seed/re-seed 6/19? (& do you think they'll play A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing at Hampton?
mikeshoun 2008-12-21 22:18:37
Itunes will convert a 24 bit file to 16 when you burn in it, or you can just listen to the 24 bit there too.
