-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 4 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom & Todd....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:

Thanks for both of your recent seeds.
So... anyone willing to lay out a favorite or few from the year? It's easy for me. The Black Mesa Trust show from 9-28 has gotten the most play around here. Thanks, New Planet, for the nice pull on that one. Certainly gets my vote for instant classic of the year.
But I'm sure others have different opinions. Let's hear it.
And best wishes to all for a happy new year's and a fine 2009. |

Throwing that on right now, moniker.
My vote is for 11-18. Can't stop listening to "Dub". |

My vote is for 9/28 or one of the third leg Nov. shows.
I dig 11/14 & 11/15.
One of those three definitely. 9/28 is an instant classic for sure.
No problem on taping moniker, I'm addicted.
Might go to one or two of the NY February shows too.

I gotta say big thanks to the tapers, seeders and everybody here. As far as shows this year, I agree about 3rd leg shows and the benefit show. Hope somebody's gonna be down in florida next week to tape that show and the two on jamcruise. I wish they'd come back through the midwest soon. I saw the msmw show at 10k and was pretty disappointed (sound issues partly) with that but I'd like to see them playing more of the new material.
Peace and Happy holidays! |

Always love when native chanting opens a show.
Ribot maintains a low profile, however, and this is perhaps my least favorite show with Ribot (of those I've heard so far.) No Ke Ano Ahiahi is lovely, though.
shack on!
