Mastering Notes:
The between tune banter and tuning were cut to fit onto a single CD used for this transfer.
There were microseconds of blank space at these points. These
cuts were edited and the crowd from the prior tunes were
crossfaded with the beginnings of the next in such a way
that no music was lost and more fluid listening. The set
lengths were adjusted by +1.5% to slow the speed to compensate
for a slow tape deck for the master recording or a fast deck for playback.
Notes from db.etree: Patrick Smith wrote: I got these from Tony's soundman at the time.
He edited these when he put them on CD so the tunes would fit as they do now.

I'm confused, did the Berkshire Mountains festival move to a new location when the Ancramdale location began using the name: Winterhawk? (similar to what happened when Winterhawk became Grey Fox). Thanks in advance for this clarafication. |

"Duenesburg, NY?" I too wondered about the same thing, until I read this after googling:
The first festival began in 1976 as the Berkshire Mountain Bluegrass Festival and continued until the early 80s when it became the Sharon Mountain Bluegrass Festival. In 1983 The Winterhawk Bluegrass Festival was held at the site and continued through 1999. With the new millennium comes the commencement of the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival as Mary Doub and Ron Thomason, former Winterhawk partners, continue to bring the same pomp, circumstance, artists, fans and spirit that has made this hilltop festival so special. from this article:

So the festival changed to Winterhawk before 85 and the Berkshire Bluegrass Fest must have moved. If you look at the Youtube video you can clearly see that the stage is not Winterhawk.
