wow
did this show ( take it ) include fishman? I hung up at his place the first weekend of november of that year and he was commenting on this experience he had at that venue with the EO where he "silenced" the crowd during a solo and was talking about how hard that is to do and from the impression i got, he completely got off on that fact......anyhow...ive just begun to download
THANK YOU very much |

Fishman, Masefield, Janover, Mathis, Fulero and Butler off the top of my head. I don't have info on the whole crew that night.
I'd say it was the opposite of silenced. He stops thumping and the crowd goes nuts.

| I was there and do recall some crowd mayhem during Stash, horns nailed it. i remember standing next to a taper at the infamous pole that is DFC 6' from the stage that obstructs the view in much of the room and cried when the tape never surfaced...till now! I also remember someone taking video upstairs right next to the soundboard, that would be cool to see surface. "Everyone Orchestra" quite an appropriate name for this ensemble. reid mathis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! speaking of, I have a JFJO master sbd disc of a show they did @ Halvorson's in Burlington that was given to me by the bar tender who taped it. I was a cook there at the time and it was part of the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. I'm not too audio savy but would love to get it circulating. The cops shut the show down after a little more than an hour because of the "noise" in the neighborhood. I talked to Reid at the Kimock show they did at the paradise about it and he said "How fuckin punk rock is that for a jazz band!" with a big grin on his face. so either gimme a tutorial or an address to send the disc to for transfer please. |

Hey thanks for this gem--sounds terrific!!!!
Researched some info for all:
Matt Butler - drums, conductor
Jon Fishman - drums
Jamie Masefield - mandolin
Jamie Janover - dulcimer, efx, percussion
Reed Mathis - bass
Asher Fulero - keys, vox
Peter Apfelbaum - sax, keys
Scott Law - guitar, vox
Michael Wilson - foh sound
Judy ablown?? - sax?, vox(Not sure about this person..maybe just vox, maybe both sax & vox?? Definitely wrong on the spelling & therefore couldn't find her in the interweb--anyone know of her & might clear this up??)
Also, d2t3 & d2t4 are the same jam with an extended pause(this then leads into the 'reggae-ish band intros' part).
Thanx again!!!! |

| You can hardly go wrong if Scott Law is on the bill. The EO gigs that I saw were a bit too contrived for my taste, seemed like I was just waiting for the "conductor" to get out of the way for a lot of the night. But there is a whole lot of talent on the roster here. Asher Fulero is a great keyboard player. |
