stupid question: will traders little helper convert shnf to wav.? I've never had success with shnf files, just downloaded tlh and it works great with flac but i've never had a problem there. Thanks for posting this show, was there and its great.

Use db poweramp to convert shn files to wave. It is free for download. But you will need to get the shn codec as well as flac codec so that you can convert both forms (codecs are also free)
db poweramp found here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/download.htm
SHN codec here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-shorten.htm
Flac codec here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-flac.htm
Other codecs for db poweramp found here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm
Once you have db on your computer with the codecs just highlight the flac or shn files, then right click, then select convert. This opens up the converter for the files you selected and all you have to do is select the final form ie. wave, stereo, 44.1 khz and then click convert and........voila you are off to the races.

can you fit the entire second set onto one disc and have it segue flawlessly? or, like on the source i have (not sure which source it is...been so long and only have a wav. copy) does the birds overlap the meatstick on the third disc? or better yet, on my copy the third disc repeats a few seconds of birds that has already been played on the second disc. does this make sense? btw...my first show! had no idea what was going on, but the ghost blew me away!

superfreakie: i decoded the show to wav so that i could listen to it through my cd player...at the point that i became overwhelmed with shn's i simply b+p'ed them away for blanks. now that i have an external hd i am looking to rebuild my collection. i could be mistaken, but i thought what i asked ealier was an honest question? since i only wanted to listen to the second set (on one complete disc!) i was wondering if this was possible with this source without having to go into re-editing it. as mentioned before, for some reason, the source i had was, in theory, supposed to be three discs. however, because the person who put the show together overlapped the last few seconds of birds that had already been played from the second disc onto the third disc, when putting the second set together onto one disc, there was about 4 seconds of repeat playing at the end of the birds->meatstick. it is my hope that this clears things up so that i can again ask..."does this source overlap the last four seconds or so of birds onto the third disc? or is it possible to simply combine the second set and have it continiously segue as the set initially played out?"

Sorry Lostboy01, I can't help you. However, I was in your position awhile back (having to rebuild my collection) and if you ever need to do a b&p hard drive, I am more than willing to help you out (aren't external hard drives the bomb).

most burning programs have a shn and/or flac codec. there is never really a need to convert to wav before burning.

Shns wont convert in my version of nero. What program do you use cause I'd love to not have to convert shns?
I'd go with TLH over dbpoweramp. TLH tells you when something went wrong in conversion so you don't have to find out while listening. |

I have NERO 6.0 and have no issues with my shn and flac codecs. No converting to wav, just straight to cdr. Google the "Nero shn codec" or "Nero flac codec" you may want to include the version number as well. Codecs are the way to go...best of luck
