Show Notes: I went over to the Soundboard and told the sound guy his levels were so high that the sound was distorted. He turned it down a bit, but the bass and vocals still sound a bit distorted to me. I just wanted to warn you that this is a fair to good recording at best. After leaving from the airport in Charlotte after the 2 Widespread Panic shows, I landed in Cleveland 2 planes later. I got to my car in the lot and called Jesse to see if there was any music on this Sunday. He said he just got to the Flats and there was a Reggae band playing. I asked him to see if it was the Ark Band. Yes it was. So, I headed up I-71 to the Flats. I got there and it was very crowded. I saw a couple get up from their table DFC! i swooped in and grabbed it. I set up as they were on stage and began rolling. I ordered a huge salad and a beverage. Jesse came by and joined me. I saw Errol there at a table close by. The sound was horribly loud and distorted. Why is it sound people at clubs have to crank the bass levels for a Reggae band? I actually got up and went over to the sound board to talk to the sound guy after 2 songs. He backed off a bit, but it was still fiar to good at best.
I taped for 2 hours, got in the car and drove back to Michigan. A couple of people have asked me for this show. I just want to be honest and let folks know that it was beyond my control on how this sounds.
