What up y'all!
This torrent os for two sources.
My AKG c460b/ck1
and Kennedy's mk4v.
We were both on my stand, sixth row about 4 ft high.
Great show and great times.
Both of our tapes came out butter.
I'm seeding these together because I figured it would be easier.

Enjoy.

If you're going to be burning these to disc
throw the encore(last 2 tracks on d2 for both sources)
on the end of disc one.

NOTES on the tunes

These tunes, which we still don't know the names of, debuted on the 2007 Spring acoustic run:
"Jazzy Swing"
"Chaos" >
"Bluesy"
"Rolling Piano Blues"

And these are from the Radiolarians 2 tour:
"Piano Funk Boogie"
"Rotate"
"Chords Build"

Hearing Rifion and Tutrusa'i from Zorn's Book of Angels is REAL nice!

I CANNOT place the first encore tune though...it's driving me BONKERS! HA! I know the tune, and you'll know the tune -- anybody know the name though???
kennyp36 2009-02-19 13:12:03
I want to say the first tune was a nod to Monk's version of Green Chimneys but I could be wrong

Thanks for Taping!

Thanks to Tom (twilight), we've got the first encore tune: Wig Wise (Duke Ellington tune)...I knew it sounded familiar...and MMW have certainly played it before (I just listened to 1/13/1999 the other day which opens with Wig Wise, so it was fresh in my head, but I couldn't place it - HA!)
yemmdh 2009-02-19 15:16:47
wig wise is on "money jungle", a Duke trio session w/ Mingus and Roach!!! Great stuff!
Jeff it's great to the the 4s capturing more music. I dl'ed a derek gregory show w/ them not long ago. One of the most used pair of caps ( hopefully I'll get some up soon) in the JAM.

Based upon this review in the New York Times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/19/arts/music/19mede.html?scp=1&sq=medeski&st=cse

It's pretty clear to me that in set 1, what you have labeled as"Jazzy Swing" is actually called "1969", and "Piano Funk Boogie" is actually called "Riffin' Ed"

Yep, I thought the same thing after reading that review...Riffin' Ed we'll get confirmation on with the new Radiolarians 2 album, but I was thinking of writing the reviewer to see if he got the names from the band or not. I'm not expecting 1969/Jazzy Swing to show up on an album any time real soon considering the tune debuted in Spring '07 acoustic run, so it would be nice to get more of a confirmation on 1969 being the actual title.
