Here is the Dragon Wagon set from Wednesday night from the Circus Bar in Ann Arbor. The circus Bar hosts Bluegrass Night each Wednesday. It is free admision and has very good prices on beer, and FREE POPCORN. Matt, the Manager of the Macpodz takes care of services, and Greg, Sound Engineer of the Macpodz, takes care of booking the bands and running the sound.
I was at the Bling Pig for Brett Dennen. We walked out the door, and walked about 50 feet next door. When we walked in, the end of the open jam was on their last song. The crowd was unbelievably boisterous! I set up in the only place with any protection, left of center, 5 feet from stage against the support beam. With the condition of the crowd, especially being after midnight, I still had my stand bumped a few times, no damage.
Dragon Wagon is a group of local musicians that came together as a result of a Bluegrass Night right here at the Circus Bar. They played mostly covers, interesting ones at that, from Neil Diamond to Pink Floyd! Kind of a rough set under the conditions, but there were a few folks that asked if I would share, so here it is. I included the last song of the open jam session as well.
Thanks to Greg for doing a nice job on the sound. Nice to hang with Paul and Amy, Matt and his wife, Nick, Jesse, Tuna, Greg, and a buch of crazy folks!
