|These tapes keep coming out of the woodwork, check you closets everybody!
A big thanks goes out to Scott Sekerak for getting in touch and sending this uncirculated show to me to work on. Enjoy the Xmas tunes!
|I second what whynotus says. Maybe I'm shooting my mouth off, as I can't help out here, but all you folks who have this amazing NGR laying around, please put it out there. And infinite thanks to all of you!
|Viva NGR! Keep it coming. I was just moving some stuff around the other day and found a glass beer mug that Capitol put out as a promo for Friday Night in America. Forgot I even had it
|Awesome stuff! Thanks so much for all of these. I'm a die hard fan! Does anyone know what happened to the duck butter show(s) I've been waiting weeks for someone to seed it. Can that be done. Please! Thanks!
|This was recorded by Dan Tepper, familiar to mnay LL-ers as the longtime sound engineer and recordist for Solar Circus. The material here is the second tape, beginning with the fifth song of the second set. I was patched out of Dan's deck and still have the master cassettes from which my buddy Scott Sekerak's tape was made. (Hi Scott--please get in touch--I've lost your address.) My masters were encoded in dbx (on a Marantz PMD-430). Dan later recorded over his tapes, so his masters no longer exist. The missing songs here are:
Is It True That I've Lost You
Good Woman's Love
White Freightliner Blues
In The Middle Of The Night
Seven By Seven
One More Love Song >
Pack Of Fools
One Of These Trains
You Don't Knock
Vamp In The Middle
I'm Looking Past You
Also the final track (Hotfootin') played by the opening local bluegrass band the Hotfoot Quartet.
|Oh yes...the mics were two Nak CM300's with CP4 shotgun attachments.
|am I reading this right that you have the rest of this show bowlingguru?wow!!!
thanks all involved for getting this out!!
|Thanks for another great pull, Bill and everyone involved. Most of you probably saw me "clean out [most] of my closet" last year. I circulated over a dozen great shows from the mid-70s - for the 1st time. Now I've put everything together on my "Tapers Catalog" web site I recently built. Among them are SBDs of NewGrass Revival, Boone Creek, and Bluegrass Alliance from 1975. I also taped some AUD-fob's of Vassar Clements, Norman Blake, John Hartford, Sam Bush, Josh Graves, and The Grateful Dead.
These shows are available as torrents at eTree, and streaming and direct-d/l at The Internet Archrive. I seed all my old tapes everyday. Enjoy.
|Bill - I have a sbd cassette(1st gen off master) of this show. I transferred it to cd. Do you have any interest tracking/uploading? You can reach me directly at email@example.com
Thanks for all you share and your efforts getting all these acoustic show out!
