| This is sacrilege, posting DSO... First off DSO blows, their whole careers, if you can call it that, are based completely someone else's body of work. No offense to you personally z-man but DSO are a bunch of douches and that's coming from someone who used to see them @ Martyr's on Tuesdays for 3.00$. Most of those people except for RB are a total joke, personally and professionally. Ask Kevin about knowingly buying stolen GDP equipment, and Phil having to get a stolen bass from them. Don't tape them, don't trade them. Get a Charlie Miller SBD instead. |

| Hey, I wanted to run my AD2K as I had problems the night before. If it crapped out during DSO, then it would not have bothered me. Believe it or not, when I go and record a show, I usually get several requests asking when and where I will post it. I NEVER turn folks down that want a show I record. Here is last night's Dark Star Orchestra show from the House Of Rules in Cleveland. On Tuesday, I had some issues with a new battery for the AD2K, and Peter, a friend, offered me tickets, so.... I decided to head east on I-90. Mark was game so we planned on meeting around 6:30 for a quick bite. as it turned out, he had to go get a couple of friends who had an overheating car on the side of the road. About a month ago, he was with me when we broke down after George Clinton. Is there a common denominator here? Thank God there was not a Cav's game, so I was able to find a parking spot easily.
I got inside the HOB shortly after 7:15 and set up in the usual spot. After the Me & My Uncle Loose Lucy, it felt like 1973. A solid set, as they usually were back then. I really enjoyed the Weather Report Suite in it's entirety. I was always hoping after the Dead brought back Here Comes Sunshine in the early 90's, that this would be next.
The second set opened with Scarlet, and that is when my guess shifted to 1974. The Dark Star had a Slipknot tease after the 19 minute mark. This was a purely instrumental Dark Star as well. Other than the 2, drunk and obnoxious assholes during much of the 2nd set, the crowd was very cool. I was the only taper, and I swear that the mic stand is a drunk magnet! BTW, the battery ran my AD2K for the entire 3+ hours. So, I am glad I had this show to run the test.
Great hangin' with Mark, Michelle and Kim, Corinne and Terry! Mark and I were going to meet at his Uncles Restaurant, Clete's, prior to the show for eats. That did not happen. Dinner was a $5.00 Footlong at the 24 hour Subway on the way to the turnpike.

| I taped the show as well..right behind the SBD....i saw your rig...just you an me were the only tapers....much thanks!!I had to split after Slip and and will grab your pull!!Only complaint...Crowd was way way way to chatty for my taste!!! |

| that DSO rant is the same one i read on WT a few weeks ago, i just don't understand getting yourself all worked up over what some musicians are doing. if you don't like them, that's cool. But why go out of your way to bash them on any website you come across their name being mentioned. |

| dgeisler..........pardon me for throwing my 2 cents in to your comment but it sounds like you seem to have some personal issue with these guys for some reason. DSO are a group of great musicians that bring it all to the stage everytime they go out their. Who are you to judge them for playing the music they love to play - and mosnt of us love to listen to!!! KUDOS to DSO for keeping the music alive!!! |
