Friday night's setlist doesn't appeal to me nearly as much as this night's. Ghost, halley's, Ice, wolfman's, PYITE, Gumbo, Guelah, R&R, Mike's groove -- SWeet! Very old school flavor to these shows.
Decided to download this one over the 3/7 Schoeps FOB's, because I heard those FOB's from night one were somewhat muddy, at least that's what one dude said on here. I definitely prefer an OTS tape to an FOB, b/c most FOB's have distracting crowd chatter, but I couldn't hold out any longer waiting for an OTS to show up. Can't wait to hear this. Thank you to all who put $, time, and effort into recording and serving up these shows for the masses.
I had a chance to go to this show, but passed b/c I'm old (37), have two little kids, work sunday mornings, and the distance to Hampton, 5 hours each way, seemed a little much. The redonk setlist makes me regret my prudent decision.
Thanks again.
will report back with sound assessment. Peace |

| well, after listening to the first 2 minutes of Halley's, I say we have a major winner here. Nice, clean, ambiant sound. Vocals crisp, bass full but not overblown. crowd noise seems to be minimal. was everyone just transfixed at the mere sight and sound of phish taking the stage in frickin 09? Oh and the band sounds oj point. sheeet. peace yall. |

one of them davis boys does it again. love the jackmormons tapes and love these too...downloaded all the sources but yours handles the bass the nicest...good and tight...not boomy at all...
nice work and thanks again...this is the best source in my opinion...
btw, what is the difference between dpa 4022 and 4023?
are they like the old b&k's? |

b&K = dpa, I just use the old name.
the 4022's the cable is out the back, 4023's the cable is removable w/ a lemo connector |

kayatosh: I think it's awesome that in 2 consecutive sentences you call yourself old & then use a term like "redonk". Thanks for the laugh old man! ;)

I've been won over by this FOB. Great recording! so balanced. what a band!
As for the playing: They're back! What a group!
Fleish: You got it , young man. Where would we be without levity. Keep it light, keep it tight.
Speaking of laughs, I like HongBit's handle. I'm personally too old for Hongbits, but I remember them fondly. Personally, I Rapovize. Peace yall.
Thanks again. |
